We serve delicious, typical Lombardy cuisine, enhanced with the flair of our experienced family chefs. Our rustic and cosy restaurant is ideal for big family gatherings or romantic evening meals. At the heart of the excellence of Restaurant Crotto is the passion for work and the history that links the Cattaneo family to the restaurant. Perfecting the recipes over the years, at Il Crotto you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes: delicious starters, fresh pasta, fish seconds and grilled meat cooked in the main hall, followed by handmade desserts. And the view of the lake from our terrace is unmissable in the warm summer months.

Il Crotto: the ideal location for special occasions
If you are looking for a unique place to celebrate a special occasion in the area, Crotto is the place. We offer spacious and welcoming rooms, a wonderful terrace overlooking Lake Como, a large grill in the centre of the main hall where dishes are prepared and cooked in view, and parking shaded by plane trees for over 180 years. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in local nature and history, by following the famous hiking path that leads from Lecco to Colico around the mountain. Nearby you can also visit the Longobard Castle of Lierna or the famous Riva Bianca and Riva Nera.

"Pranzo a meta’ del Cammino del Viandante al Crotto: mai scelta fu piu’ azzeccata! Tagliolini al Tartufo di Norcia seguito da cialda di mandorle e nocciole con mousse ai tre cioccolati. Semplicemente deliziosi! Servizio cortese e impeccabile (cameriera signora Coca). Chiedete le bruschette alle erbe del posto: veramente notevoli.

"Our first meal out in Lierna yesterday (24/08/18) and we could not have made a better choice. The team accommodated us despite not booking in advance on a Friday night and the food is wholesome, very tasty, and good value for money. Check out the home made sorbets. You will not regret it!.
